First weekend in UK : A glimpse of Oxford

All photographs from this day can be found here.

Yesterday I went out for dinner at Anna's (photos will follow shortly). On the way to Anna's I cam across this weird display of air filled structures which were also speakers playing weird noises. This is art!!!
This morning I went out for a long walk to explore and make some photos as the weather was quite decent. I started on Walton St and then followed Cornmarket Street till the intersection of High Street and St Aldates after which I followed High street for quite a while.

Here is a photo from the intersection showing St. Aldates
The image below is of the church of St. Mary the Virgin on High Street
And this one is towards east on High Street. Lovely day ?

Well right after I took this last photo, the skies turned gray and I said whatever; I was walking slowly to digest what I was seeing however I had a hunch that in about 15 minutes it would be raining quite heavy and I would get all wet if I did not reach the physics department where I forgot my umbrella the night before. Well I was right; it started raining cats and dogs and I was in the middle of nowhere; no place to hide or take cover. So I walked and I walked about half an hour under heavy rain/ Luckily I had my rain coat which does an outstanding job of repelling water. Hmm no need to take a shower today I guess :)

More will follow; stay tuned
